Donna McCain used a unique mixed technique to create this statue, combining a variety of materials into a new unity. The core of the statue is an antique wooden beam from the roof of an old half-timbered house. Gemstones such as Herkimer diamonds, rubies, amber, quartz crystal, and citrine adorn the multitude of ornaments. The use of gold leaf dominates, and the rich magenta coloration evokes impressions of opulence and abundance. The elements are playfully arranged, giving the artwork a lightness that contrasts beautifully with the massive appearance of the gold color. The clear quartz crystals woven into the statue in spiral patterns and the irregular inclusions of Pranakristalle and Prana drops characterize Donna McCain's playful abstract style, transforming complex forms into timeless simplicity. The elegance of the statue is completed by a fine wooden base made from Thai driftwood.
